Tatyana Mazur was trained at the world-renowned Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg. Following her graduation from the Vaganova Academy, she danced with the Odessa Opera in Ukraine and the Moscow Ballet, where she enjoyed international touring to Europe, Australia, India, Ceylon, Jordan, and Egypt.
After the termination of the Kiev Theatrical University and Kiyevo-Mogilyansky Academy of Dance, Tatyana became Head of the Choreography Department of the Kiev’s School of The Arts, where she staged numerous classical ballet productions, as well as her own choreography production for the classical ensemble, or the “Yaroslavna” ensemble. She served as the Artistic Director for 10 years, leading tours to Germany, Israel, France, and Poland.
After relocating to the USA, Tatyana worked for 5 years as a professor at Akron University, teaching the highest-level students. From 2002-2017, she worked as the Ballet Mistress of Faubourg Ballet Theatre, and from 2017-2019 she served as a key ballet teacher at Salt Creek Ballet. In 2019, Tatyana was invited as the Resident Ballet Mistress at Faubourg Ballet Theatre. Tatyana has staged and set various classical ballet productions and variations, including Swan Lake, Snow Maden, Snow Queen, Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote, Cippolino, Coppelia, Shopeniana.
Every year, Tatyana trains and prepares students to compete in the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix competition. Since 2005 her trainees, in both Solo and Ensemble categories, have won multiple 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, as well as Grand Prix awards at Chicago Regionals and at New York Finals. Tatyana was awarded the prestigious honor of “Best Ballet Teacher” in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015 by YAGP.
Over the past 20 years, under Tatyana’s instruction and choreography, students have gone on to perform with numerous professional ballet companies across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Such companies include Miami City Ballet, the Dutch National Opera, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey, the Royal Ballet, Washington Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, the Joffrey Ballet, Northern Ballet, the Radio City Rockettes, Grand Rapids Ballet, Nevada Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Pennsylvania / Philadelphia Ballet, Cirque du Soleil, Washington Ballet, Tennessee Ballet Theatre, Complexions, Hubbard Street Dance, and more.
